The workshop will consist of morning and afternoon sessions. Morning sessions will cover theoretical lectures, reading material and discussions while afternoon sessions will concentrate on computational practicals. Theoretical lectures will take place at H.U. Department of Biology Altan Günalp Hall and afternoon practicals will take place at H.U. Department of Biology Student Computational Laboratory

Principle Lecturer: Matteo Fumagalli

Matteo Fumagalli is a Research Associate at the UCL Genetics Institute, University College London, UK. His research interests involve detecting and characterizing selection in natural populations and improving methods for the analysis of sequencing data. He is the principle programmer and developer of ngsTools a suite of programs for analyzing next generation sequencing data for population genetics purposes.
